Hard decorative cloth boards, spine replaced with tape, minor scuffing/bumping to board edges, minor scoiling/scuffing, slight crease to front board. Contents generally good but for some splitting to hinges in places, slight soiling, minor browning mainly to endpapers. B&W illustrations throughout. A selection of conjuring tricks taken from 'Modern Magic' a popular book on the art of conjuring first published in 1876. It was written by Professor Hoffman, pseudonym of Angelo Lewis (1839-1919). Lewis was an English barrister who became an expert on the art of conjuring and magic, and published a number of related books. Scarce in this edition.
Condition: Fair. Acceptable condition. No Dust Jacket No date stated. (magic tricks, magic, magicians, hobbies) A readable, intact copy that may have noticeable tears and wear to the spine. All pages of text are present, but they may include extensive notes and highlighting or be heavily stained. Includes reading copy only books.

Hardcover. No date given, circa 1900. With 109 Illustrations. 124 pages. Text block in Near Fine condition. Light rubbing to cover edges. Dust jacket spine dulled and edges lightly rubbed. There are a couple 3/4" chips in the spine ends, and there are some other smaller chips in the edges. Faint 1 1/2" stain on front of dust jacket, near top edge. Dust jacket now in mylar protector.; 5 1/4 x 7 3/4" Very Good+ in Very Good dust jacket.
Condition: Good. Undated. Green cloth with red and white titling, cloth rubbed, edgeworn. Spine square. Binding sound. No jacket. Pencil mark to front paste down. Interior else clean, pages lightly toned, text unmarked.
