Lilly was an immensely important neuroscientist of his time who kept regular company with Timothy Leary and Ram Dass. He conducted high altitude experiments during the war where he likely met Loening who was a chief consultant with The War Production Board and the NACA. Loening was later inducted into the International Air and Space Hall of Fame for his contributions to the field. A significant association copy.
