The book is in very good condition overall. The yellow cover shows some normal signs of age along with a few stains, but it remains solid and presentable. The spine is clean and clearly printed with no fading. The edges are sharp with no bumping noted. A small label on the front end paper lists the former owners name and address. The interior pages are clean and free of writing, markings, or highlighting, and there is no foxing present. The binding is tight and the book remains structurally sound. A solid and well-preserved copy of a specialized scientific text from the respected Springer series, suitable for collectors of mathematical physics, dynamical systems, and Soviet-era scientific publications. Since many towering figures in mathematical history worked in Berlin, most of the chapters of this book are concise biographies. These are held together by a few survey articles presenting the overall development of entire periods of scientific life at Berlin.
