He conducted interviews with many Fluxus and mail-artists and published them in pamphlets as well as on the internet. A Uruguayan artist, poet, and publisher, Padin edited the influential literary magazinesLos Huevos del PlataandOVUM 10 which put him in contact with the international avant garde. A participant in mail art, his artistic and political endeavors landed him in jail in the late '70s and surveilled upon release til the mid '80s, deemed a threat by Uruguay's military dictatorship.
