Missing two plates - for fifth and tenth chapters and two plates are detached, one of these being a little greyed and dog-earred, with a couple of tiny missing chips from corners. Title page and one further plate detached from about halfway downwards. There are around ten instances throughout the text where a single word has been erased through what appears to be a combination of chemical process and rubbing, which is odd and in one instance a tiny hole has resulted and again to the last leaf of the publishers ad`s to the rear.
