Illustrated by Alfred Bestall (famous for illustrating Rupert The Bear). Brown covers are only fair with marks, wear (rubbing/splits/pushing) to head/tail of spine, creasing/pushing to corners, old water stains and edge/shelf wear. The binding is tight. Neat gift inscription in pen to first (title) page. Pages are stained/marked to edges with light creasing. Page edges little tanned. Few marks throughout. No other faults. Profusely illustrated - illustrations are generally unmarked. All books described honestly and accurately. Paypal accepted.

Head and foot of spine are a little worn and copy corners have some curling. Outers have some sporadic colour markings though overall sound. Contents are clean with attractive b/w illustrations. Unusual and scarce.

Covers are worn at spine and corners, page corner tips also slightly worn. Staples rusty and a couple of small marks to covers. A few small marks to page margins else contents clean.
