Inscribed on free endpaper '' Sir Frederick Pollock is proud to have been asked by his friend Mrs George Crowe to write her name in this copy of Macready's Reminiscences -and thus to associate it with the memory of a great artist who was very dear to him. 20th March 1875 ''. Complete in 2 volumes. Books measure 23x15.5.cm. Collation, xi,[1],476,28,[4]pp, x,486pp,each volume has a frontis, and vignette illustration on title page. Bound in original publishers cloth, with gilt lettering, blind stamped lines. Cloth lightly rubbed, some abrasion wear, short split on spine and hinge joint. Both binding in good clean condition. Internally, pages clean. A very nice set Size: 8vo. Signed by Author.
