La première partie traite du feu et des dispositions devant la cheminée pour augmenter la chaleur; la seconde, des dispositions des nouvelles cheminées pour empêcher la fumée et la troisième concerne les constructions des cheminées et la technique. Barbier (IV, 96-97) a rajouté inutilement un "H" à mécanique. Défauts à la reliure: mors marqué, coiffe et queue légèrement arasées, traces de mouillure ancienne en marge, épidermures. Les planches sont parfois abîmées (manque au centre de la 5 et une partie de la 7) sinon, elles sont marquées au niveau du pliage.
