Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. The First UK printing published by The Albion Press in 1975. One of an edition of only 400 copies. The book is in Very Good++ condition. Wrappered paper covers with a decorated printed paper label to the front cover. Slight markings to the cover and label in places. Slight bumping to the corners. The red lettering to the spine has faded but is still legible. Mild toning to the text-block. Black end papers as issued. Free from inscriptions with clean contents. Protected in a loose mylar covering. The book has been signed by the author to the title page: ' Iain Sinclair, 17th March 1999, Hackney'. 'Lud Heat, a book of the dead hamlets' is a mixture of prose and poetry. A very early title from this acclaimed and prolific author. This title has been reprinted in two further limited editions. Copies of the true first issue are exceptionally scarce and more-so with such attributes. Only the second copy that we have handled to date. Ashton Rare Books welcomes direct contact.
