First Edition
First edition, one of a limited number of 1000. Oblong, 230x300mm. Illustrated boards with the upper cover showing one of Davis' distinctive highly coloured photographs. Bumping to top right corner but otherwise a very good copy. Introductory essay (in French and English) by David Levi Strauss. LOTS brings together five collections of Davis's work: Office Series, Hospital, Retail, Lots, Credentials. His photography looks obliquely at the architecture and paraphernalia of everyday life. No human life appears to be present. Stripped down to the essentials of colour and form, the world around us that Davis presents in his images takes on an eerie and abstract quality.
