Add to basketHardback. Condition: Good to Very Good. First Edition. 1936. First edition. [v], 356pp. plus 4 pages of reviews of other works by the author. Archibald Gordon Macdonell (1895-1941) was a Scottish writer, journalist and broadcaster, probsbly best known as the author of the novel 'England, Their England'. James' youngest daughter, Veronica, is a Nazi-lover, presumably modelled on Unity Mitford. The book is bound in the original red cloth covered boards with gold titling on the spine. The case of the book is in good to very good condition with shelf wear, soiling and some staining to the boards. There are also patches of loss of colour that are probably caused by liquid splashes that have been partly wiped off. The spine is slightly faded with light bumping to the spine ends. The contents are in better condition being tight and clean with a little bubbling to the front fixed endpaper. There is no inscription.…
