First delivered in December 1825 by the Royal Institution's Professor of Mechanics, John Millington, they are a series of lectures, each on a single topic, have been held annually at the Royal Institution in London. The lectures present scientific subjects to a general audience, including young people, in an informative and entertaining manner. This volume explores chapters on Man in the Mirror, The Handed Molecule, and In the Hands of Giants. In the original pictorial paper binding. Externally, excellent. Internally, firmly bound.
