Add to basketHardback. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Reprint. 1958. Reprint. ix, 214pp. a frontispiece and 16 other black and white illustrations (1 double-page), and an illustration on the endpapers. The Log of the Ark is a children's book, first published in London in 1923. The book's plot describes the way in whi…ch an outcast animal, the scub, infiltrates the ark and introduces certain of the other species to the idea of eating meat (until this point, all the animals eat porridge with a dollop of treacle.) The book is bound in the original light greenish-yellow boards with red titling on the spine and a red line drawing of an elephant and a camel on the front board. The case of the book is in very good condition with light bumping to the bottom of the spine and very slight cocking to the spine. The contents are tight and clean with no inscription. The unclipped dustwrapper is very good with shelf wear and some soiling and the spine is sunned. The spine ends are lightly bumped. The wrapper is in a removable clear protective cover. Geoffrey Boumphrey (illustrator).
