Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. First Edition. First edition vintage pop-up book illustrated by Joseph Lau, signed on both covers with mirror-image reversed art on both boards as published (not hand signed). 6 pp. Images of six boys following a man carrying an axe through the woods while another young boy straggles behind, dropping crumbs as markers. They are all dressed in the fashion of Robin Hood with tights, wrap up boots, stocking type caps and colorful smock tops. There is no publisher or date on the book, there is a number on the rear panel (S 4178/4) and "Printed in Belgium" in the opposite corner. Book is circa 1960's. It is an oblong quarto with the spine at head of book in illustrated hardcover boards, no pulls or push mechanisms, only pop-ups and these are absolutely as new. Boards show bumped tips and light color loss with faint sticker pull at lower tip of one cover. No names, tears or soil.
