First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Poor. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. Illustrated by Geissler, Rudolf (illustrator). First Edition. Binding badly shaken, with many pages barely attached. Spine has splits to the edges and wear to the ends. Free endpapers, if there were any, are missing. Title page and last page are slightly foxed, other pages are clean. Covers have slight wear to the outer corners and are somewhat darkened.

Cloth. Condition: Good Only. Rudolf Geissler (illustrator). A scarce and beautifully illustrated children's book. Illustrated with fifteen etchings by Rudolf Geissler Rudolf Geissler (1834-1906) was a Victorian painter, engraver and illustrator who worked on several Victorian children's books publications including Dolly's Picture Book and Die Ammenuhr. In a cloth binding. Externally some rubbing and bumping with a closed tear to the spine. Front hinge tender at title page with title page loosening. Internally, binding strained with some pages having worked loose. Pages with foxing throughout. Good Only. book.
