    Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Harrison Smith & Haas, New York. 1932. 480 pages. Stated First Edition; first printing. Signed by William Faulkner on a loosely laid in, unused U.S. 1 cent Jefferson Head postal card (3x5) 1 of 8,500 copies in the first printing. First binding with coarse tan cloth, stamped in orange on front cover with blue titles on spine and an orange star. Top page edges stained orange. "Jefferson" in place of "Mottstown" on the first line on page 340. Book is about fine. Binding and hinges are strong. Endpapers and pastedowns are bright and clean. Pages lay tight and undisturbed; seemingly unread. Four sharp corners. Previous owner's name neatly written in old ink on front pastedown and dated Nov 1932. Original first issue DJ with 'Lee' in place of 'Joe' Christmas on front flap. $2.50 price intact on DJ flap. DJ shows rubbing/chipping with a 3 inch chip at crown. Book is about fine in Good DJ with loosely laid in Faulkner signature. Signed by Author(s).
