Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book dives into the nature of the Church's infallibility, a core concept in Catholic doctrine. The author presents a rigorous analysis of papal pronouncements and their reception by the Church, arguing that the Church holds itself to possess an extensive infallibility extending beyond heretical decrees. This infallibility encompasses a wide range of doctrinal instructions, including those communicated through Allocutions, Encyclicals, and other papal acts. The author draws upon the insights of theologians, bishops, and the Pope himself to support the comprehensive view of infallibility. By examining historical controversies and official Church pronouncements, the book sheds light on the Church's self-understanding and its relationship to the faithful. This study contributes to a deeper grasp of the Church's nature and mission, its authority in matters of faith and morals, and its role in guiding believers towards truth and salvation. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.

He will be 'in town [i.e. London] for a few days next week and will be accompanied by Mr. Keddie, Editor of the "Scottish Guardian", an ardent lover of Botany & Botanists'.
