Text of letter: He initially thanks Smith for his letter to him "qui eleve une question interessante sur le produit qui varie le moins envaleur. Ayez donc patience." He then asks if Smith is the son of "William Smith, the member of parliament for the city of Norwich, qui doit etre a paris en ce moment" with his daughter. He then signs off.
