A detailed account of the tragic expedition of the Jeannette. Very slightly rubbed. Very short closed tear to the hinge of the title page. Binding nice and tight and very clean. Pages and illustrations very nice and clean. A fine tight, bright, clean copy. An exceptional copy of the scarce first edition inscribed by the author.

An account of the Greely Relief Expedition also is provided. An important and detailed account of the whole tragedy by the highest ranking officer that survived.
