[48] pp. Book III of Lada's Cheerful Textbooks is illustrated with twenty-four full color, three-quarter page drawings of anthropomorphic insects by the famed Czech painter, illustrator and writer, Josef Lada; evidently smoking among anthropomorphic insects was rampant in 1932 as fully one-quarter of Lada's drawings depict pipe smoking insects; Lada's illustrations are supplemented with Josef Foltyn's verses and scientific notes by Prof. Victor Jedlicka; internally the book is without flaw. The condition of the book is FINE. Only two copies (New York Public Library System; Princeton University Library) located on OCLC/WorldCat. EXCEEDINGLY RARE and a fabulous children's picture book in near perfect condition.
