Guida di Kiev per il pubblico occidentale, composta dal letterato e giornalista ucraino Leonid Dayen (1929-2017) con Pavel Poznyak e Mark Cherp negli anni ?50, e tradotta in inglese da A. S. Mistetsky. La guida si apre con alcune pagine introduttive intercalate da alcune grafiche che esaltano i risultati dell'organizzazione sovietica della cittą: sviluppo demografico ed edilizio, produzione industriale, servizi e universitą, numero di apparecchi televisivi e radiofonici ecc. La guida si sviluppa in tre itinerari: The Stormy Days of Revolution, che illustra monumenti e luoghi del periodo della rivoluzione; Mother of Russian Cities, alla scoperta di antiche chiese e testimonianze della Rus' di Kiev; The Capital of Flourishing Ukraine, che esalta lo sviluppo sovietico della cittą, i servizi, gli edifici pubblici, i parchi, gli svaghi e gli sport, i trasporti ecc. In fine, una lista di alberghi, ristoranti, biblioteche e servizi. Buono stato, privo di sovraccoperta.
