First two pages are a letter from Charles Bukowski to the editor, next two pages are a poem "A Party Here--Machineguns, Tanks, An Army Fighting Against Men on Rooftops" by Bukowski. Also, a reproduced letter and a Preface from Thomas Merton, and poems by people we don't recognize. Still, collectible for Bukowski and Merton.
Softcover. Condition: Very Good. Folio leaves (11" x 8.5"). 19pp. Illustrated. Mimeographed leaves in stapled self wrappers. Ink notes, some by Inman (including Diane Wakoski's phone number and Rev. Sidney Lanier's address), old folds and soiling, but a nice, stable very good copy. Early issue of this long-running self-published literary journal. Includes advertisements for d.a. levy's publications, and a poem "surrealist scene" by him. Other contributions by Walter Lowenfels, Jefferson Poland of the League for Sexual Freedom, George Bowring, Advertisements for books, pamphlets, 'zines, or performances by Sam Shepard, Judson Crews, and many others scarce.

THIS COPY WARMLY INSCRIBED BY WILL INMAN TO SAM SEIFFER, CO-EDITOR WITH D.A. LEVY OF A SHORT-LIVED (1967 ONLY) POETRY JOURNAL CALLED "CONGRESS". And this issue (108) is crisp, clean and Near Fine in its taped, light-blue card wrappers. And id quite scarce -- #35 of only 51 copies issued.
