First edition, first printing with 1963 as the last date on the title page, with no later printings noted AND 1963 on the title page. Signed presentation copy by the editor, Stanley Nider Katz, on the FFEP. Book is fine. Bright, tight and clean. The original DJ with $4.25 price intact on flap. DJ shows two tiny edge chips; minimal minor soiling. This title chronicles the case against the Newspaper publisher, charged with seditious libel, by the Governor of New York. Alexander Hamilton argued for the defense and won, as 'truth' he argued, is the defense. The case has since become the symbol for freedom of the press. NF/VG+. Signed by Author(s).
