Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. This VG- first format (gilt lettering outlined in black on front cover, plain front cover, plain end pages) book lists only to "Bob-Tailed Elephant" (1929). It has some wear: it is square with no corner bumps or edge dings; bottom edge of both boards has slight wear. Head and heel of the spine are bumped, with no fabric damage at the head; the spine, however, has fabric damage, not from the bump but from some liquid that dissolved some of the red paint, exposing the cloth beneath (see photo). Except for a book store sticker, an inked name and date ("Xmas 1930") and a request to return the book, all on the FFEP (see photo), the interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains and page damage. Paper is lightly toned and very flexible; hinges are strong and frontis + 3 is intact. The VG- jacket lists to this title. It is uniformly darkened with tiny chips at the front corners and head and heel of the spine, and a bit of wear along the front fold (see photo).
