Condition: Fair. No Edition Remarks. 222 pages. No dust jacket. Black cloth with gilt decoration. Contains colour illustrated frontispiece, with plates in both colour and black and white throughout. Pages are mildly tanned and heavily foxed, but text remains clear. Plates are brighter. Binding is firm. Deckled edges. Boards have moderate shelf-wear, with noticeable corner bumping and some scuffing to edges. Moderate crushing and heavy splitting to spine ends. Gilt remains bright. Moderate rubbing and scuffing to rear board. Book has a noticeable forward lean.

Condition: Good. Boards have some wear. Content has light toning. Some foxing to prelims. Toning to page ends. No DJ. Circa 1938.

Cloth binding very good with very little wear and rubbed areas to the front board, gilt detail to front board and spine. Contents clean and tight, inscription to the half title page, a few closed tears to fore-edges of first few pages, some areas of foxing to some pages, but plates remain clean, tissue guards present. A very good copy. Size: 8vo. Book.

Foxing to text-block and margins, generally mild but some heavier instances. Overall a 'Very Good' copy.
