8vo., First Edition, First Issue; handsomely bound in full burgundy crushed morocco, sides with gilt frame border, back with raised bands, second and fourth compartments lettered and ruled in gilt, all other compartments tooled in gilt, gilt top, hand-made endpapers, ribbon marker, cloth from front board mounted on new leaf at front, custom-made slip-case, an elegant copy ideal as a gift or for presentation. A first edition, first printing of 'The Inimitable Jeeves' published by Herbert Jenkins in 1923. A very good book with one neat inscription. Some rubbing to the edges and corners. Dated 1923 (MCMXXIII) on title page and details meet criteria given by McIlvaine for 1st edition - 10 titles listed on verso of half-title (from 'Piccadilly Jim' to 'The Clicking of Cuthbert'), Jenkins design as printer on verso of title page. No dust wrapper.
