Also includes Index: Indian Notes, compiled by Lillian Doyle, staff librarian, 1949, comprising volumes 1-7 (156 pages) All four booklets are in very good condition with no rust at staples; some minor browning consistent with age. Small smudge on the cover of the tenth edition booklet. George Gustav Heye started his personal collection of Native artifacts in 1897, and continued up to his death in 1957. He was the founder and director of the Museum of the American Indian, which is now part of the Smithsonian Institution and continues its mission of collection, education, and preservation.
