Waller, John Francis [Edited by] John Francis Waller (21 July 1809 - 19 January 1894) was an Irish poet, librettist and editor and was called to the Irish Bar in 1833. Under the pseudonym of 'Jonathan Freke Slingsby' he wrote for the Dublin University Magazine and became its editor in 1845. He held the position of vice-president of the Royal Irish Academy from 1864 and was appointed Registrar of the Rolls Court in 1867.

The boards of all 14 volumes are edge worn with knocked corners and scuffing along the edges, the top and bottom of the spines are creased. The edges that were previously torn has been repaired. The block of all volumes are secure. Light waviness on the pages of all volumes, this is due to age, not damp. Coloured spotting on the end pages of volumes IV, VI, VII, VIII, X, XI, XII, XIII and XIV. Insect marks on the last third of the pages in volume III. Browning along the edges of the pages in all volumes. There are no ink inscriptions or annotations in any of the volumes. Very heavy set, extra postage required. JHK.
