Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Green cloth binding, all edges gilt. General wear to exterior as shown with some scuffs and slight discolouring to cloth. Ffep with ink inscription signed by Eunice Bagster1777, with further name dated 1867 underneath. Pages: [4], 11 maps (4 double page), 3 plans (1 double page). Interspersed blank leaves between plates. Pages and plates are generally very clean.

Hard Back. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. Title page + 2 page list of maps + 20 single sided pages of maps/plans.( some are double paged map, single page map, double paged map with another map in the corner, or 2 maps on one page). Condition; Binding Very Good, very clear gilt embossed title to front, some edge wear. Contents Very good & clean, no inscriptions, minor mark to rear of last map/plan, when closed pages still show the red to page edges, but as original glue used for binding was gutta-percha that rarely ever lasts 100 years before crumbling, so has to be reglued. We do not restore, but sell as we find them. The pages are all double pages and tight the rear of each page is blank, a very confusing little book as some maps are over 2 pages and others with more than one map/plan on, also they did not print all of them in the correct order, but all are present. printed below the maps is "Engraved for Bagster's English Version of the Polyglott Bible". Undated but BL suggest 1856. So a rare little item in very good condition, just needs pages re-glueing at spine, or to be kept as is. Size: 10 x 16 cm Approx.

Titelblatt, Liste der Karten mit kurzer Erklärung. 12 Seiten, einseitig oder doppelseitig bedruckt, mit gestochenen und handkolorierten Karten. Vollständig (siehe Karten-Liste). Auf die Anzahl der 18 Karten kommt man, wenn die kleineren Kartenausschnitte mitgezählt werden. Undatiert, jedoch vermutlich aus dem Jahr 1854, worauf der Namens- und Datumseintrag auf dem Vorsatz hinweist. Das Ex Libris von Robert Washington Oates mit dem lateinischen Sinnspruch "Esse Quam Videri" (etwa: Mehr Sein als Schein") weist dieses Buch als einstmals der Oaete'schen Bibliothek zugehörig aus. Robert Washington Oates (1874-1958) war u.a. antiquarischer Buchhändler, gründete das Oates Memorial Museum mit Bibliothek, die Berichten zufolge an die 40.000 Bücher enthielt. (nach Red1st). Einbd. an Ecken u. Kanten stark berieben u. fleckig. Rücken angeplatzt, bzw. mit einer größeren Abplatzung am unteren Kapital. Vorsätze stark braunfleckig. Innen stellenweise etw. braunfleckig., englisch, n. pag., 16 X 10,5 cm.
