Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Fair ++. No Dustjacket. A travelling salesman's/travelling representative's copy as it has excerpts of text. Attractive colourful marbeled front endpapers. There are many B&W and colour plates and six colour fold-out maps at back with the fore-edge of the pages are creased and lightly browned. Some of the c…olour plates have stuck to the underside of the plate above and there is some abrasion to the colour plates where some of the paper has adhered to colour pictures. Fold-out picture of the night sky in the southern hemisphere which has a vertical crease to second half and has a creased and yellowed tissue guard with printed annotations. At the back are two samples of the red ?leather spine with bright gilt-colour decoration and titles. There are several pages of subscriber's signatures at the back with a few pencil names etc. Spine covering has gone and there is wear to the card of hardback binding and fraying to spine-ends. Age-dulled dark brown boards. An interesting volume.
