Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Plain black flexible 'Fabrikoid' boards; rounded pages; all edges gilt. Book shows almost no wear; prior owner name and address written on front endpaper and dated Dec 8, 1934; gift inscription on inside cover dated 1979. A book 'designed to assist the busy man or women, the executive, professional man, commercial type or other student of Human Nature who has not the necessary time or patience to study all the necessary text books on this subject.' Why the plain covers? The book 'has no printing on the outside, thus making it appear like an ordinary sales manual and at the same time making its contents strictly confidential.' Fascinating and bizarre, blending psychology, phrenology, and more. 4-1/2 x 7-1/2". 225 pages + 11 pages of ads for Balkin's books.
