Fine and unfaded attactive colour illus. cover with green boards. Contents foxed to the margins. No inscriptions and a trifle foxed to the fore-edge. Label removed to the inside board leaving marks. A nice copy with a 1930's cover and spine. The colour illustrated boards Blackie boards were often issued without a d.j. in the 1930's. 19cms.

Green Cloth. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. James F. Sloane (illustrator). Reprint. Excellent tight clean crisp hardcover from the beginning of the war period before paper economy was introduced, hence nice and thick. No wear or fade save for slight rubbing at spine base. DJ whole and bright, unclipped inside clear protective sleeve, minor marks and cornerwear/tears to rear panel and nicks to spine panel top. Minor staining to spine panel, but hardly noticable and the colour vignette is bright and unfaded. Overall a splendid copy. Church prize plate dated 1940 on fly, no other date mentioned. Size: 8vo.
