Excellent tight clean crisp hardcover from the beginning of the war period before paper economy was introduced, hence nice and thick. No wear or fade save for slight rubbing at spine base. DJ whole and bright, unclipped inside clear protective sleeve, minor marks and cornerwear/tears to rear panel and nicks to spine panel top. Minor staining to spine panel, but hardly noticable and the colour vignette is bright and unfaded. Overall a splendid copy. Church prize plate dated 1940 on fly, no other date mentioned. Size: 8vo.
