This is a really useful basic guide to almost any household handyman's task you can imagine. While the details are not comprehensive they do detail the basics and many of the pitfalls of each job as well as the tools and techniques involved. This is a guide I would use in order to reassure myself that I understood the basics and had sufficient terminology to search for other details online.
