Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Brightly bound copy in pale orange cloth with gold lettered titles and designs. Lightly worn at edges and very slight slant. The contents have a few small marks and a slight separation at pages 272/273, however the binding remains tight. The opening color lithographic frontispiece of "The Colours of the Regiment" is by Vincent Brooks, Day and Son, Inc. and there are numerous color and B/W illustrations throughout the text. This copy is from a 19th Century private lending institution, the Mercantile Library of New York (Astor Place). There is a number and Mercantile Library stamp to the title page and on some text pages. There are no other indications of the library's ownership. International shipping may require added postage charges. A very nice copy.
