Original cloth with dust wrapper. As new, except that the dust wrapper has a very light stain at bottom and a short tear at the top. 36 pp. Illustrated by H. D. Bugbee. [1-4], 5-35 pages. Fore-edge untrimmed. Dallas Morning News writer Paul Crume wrote of Haley's work: "The Heraldry of the Range doesn't properly belong to the body of his [Haley] work. It is a bookmaker's item, really, done in sepia and black by the incomparable Carl Hertzog of El Paso, and the growing number of collectors who admire Hertzog's work will probably seek it out." Many of the book's stories had the purpose of advertising mediums for Standard Oil's Shamrock brand. Lowman 62A; Adams, Herd 962. Adams Herd 962, Dykes (Bugbee) 79.
