"Help Wanted" is an early 20th century Cinderella story of sorts, wherein the lowly stenographer is swept off her feet by the boss' son. Walter Denison's novel is based on Jack Lait's successful play of the same title, which Variety called "one of the great theatrical successes" of the early 20th century. The book features several black-and-white plates. This copy is in good condition with some cover and edge soil. The top spine edge shows a water stain, and one illustration (on p. 31) is loose. 320 pages. 5 x 8.5 inches.
