Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Ralph Hale Mottram (1883-1971) was a man of many parts - banker, soldier, Lord Mayor of Norwich, and writer of a large number of books encompassing novels (including the "Spanish Farm" trilogy), stories, histories and poetry. The sixteen short stories in this volume are linked by recurring characters, but are otherwise self-contained. This is a very good copy - slightly browned and spotted on the edges, with a touch of wear to spine ends.
