Softcover. Condition: Very Good-. There is paper loss to the upper end of the left edges of the second and third leaves (doesn't influence text). In general there are a few ink smudges and some chipping. Remains of prior mounting on reverse sides. ; Holograph working draft of the final three pages (only) of Hazlitt's prose work…"Definition of Wit". Approx. 7 1/2" wide by 9 3/4", 3 1/2 pages. Not signed, not dated. This section of manuscript contains the concluding three pages and the addendum from the longer work, and begins: "The motto of wit seems to be, Light come, light go. A touch is sufficient to discover what already hangs so loose as folly, ." Pages numbered 19, 20, & 21. Manuscript has cross-outs, additions, and other corrections in Hazlitt's hand.
