Beautiful blue velvet cover hardback edition housed in its original matching blue slip case. The slip case does have some spots along with shelf wear on the front cover but it has protected the book itself nicely. Some slight foxing on the front end paper and page edges of the book. The remainder of the interior is flawless. 56 double-leaved pages. Decorated with gold-stamped Kiddush Goblet motif. Illustrated and executed by Arthur Szyk and edited by Cecil Roth. Inside of front and back board illustrated with b/w reproduction of a drawing by Szyk. Beautiful color frontispiece along with many color heavily embellished illustrations throughout. Does have a gift inscription on front title page. Text in English and Hebrew. This edition is renowned for its luxurious presentation. Binding: Royal blue velvet-covered boards adorned with gilt lettering and illustrations on the spine and boards. Cover Art: Features a gold Kiddush cup emblem on both the front and back covers. Slipcase: Housed in a matching blue velvet-lined clamshell box with gilt lettering, providing both protection and elegance.
