Red cloth cover with Colour Vignette of Gulliver straddling the Lilliputians, Floral Decoration and Bright Gilt & Red Lettering on front. Floral Design and Gilt Ground to Lettering on spine. Undated Edition, circa late 19th C. 383 p. pages, 8" Tall. Small tear and some fraying to cloth at top of spine. Corners bumped and cloth worn at edges of bottom fore corners. Name on ffep in old browned ink. No other inscriptions.

Bound in dark brown pebbled cloth, gold lettering on spine. Some edge wear and light rubbing, old ink signatures on one of the end papers, otherwise a good copy.

Boards are worn and head of spine is frayed with small split at joint with front board. Front pastedown rubbed. Ownership inscription dated 1866 to front free endpaper with the occasional mark to contents o/w generally a clean and bright copy.

Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No date but gift inscription on detached front end page is 1911. The end pages are brown and brittle but the paper on the interior of the book is strong and only mildly age-toned, though occasionally there is a smudge; frontis engraving and the 76 additional ones within (some full-page that would be good to frame) 273 p. in all, 4to., unmarked anywhere. Colorful pictorial front boards is unfaded but there is heavy abrasion at corners and edge wear. Back panel is detached; spine sunned and abraded at crown and foot. "Dean" Swift of course pertains to ecclesiastical status of the author, Jonathan Swift.
