Some wear to extremities, front cover creased, corner of rear cover creased, corners square and flat, spine edges very slightly abraded, covers ever so lightly soiled, else very good to fine with no internal markings. James R. "Jim" Wolf died April 29, 2022 at the age of 92. He was an avid backpacker and naturalist. Wolf held undergraduate and graduate degrees from Yale University, where he obtained his law degree. He loved the outdoors, and hiking, and founded the Continental Divide Trail Society. He spent many summers exploring these trails, and even wrote a series of guide books depicting every detail of the beautiful terrain. Jim and his husband, Delray Green, also enjoyed cruise ships, and every opportunity they had to spend exploring together. This is the authoritative guide to the Continental Divide Trail in Southern Montana and Idaho. His account of his continuous walk from Georgia to Maine appears in HIKING THE APPALACHIAN TRAIL (1975).…
