First Edition. 1954 1st edition with B&W illustrations; tightly bound inm green cloth with black lettering to front and spine; small mark to front and faint signs of water damage to top of back. Bottom page edges lightly foxed. Internally, a few scattered discolouration marks; otherwise, a good, tidy copy. Used - Good. Good hardback (no dust jacket).

Green boards with titles in black to front and spine, illustrated green epps, illustrated dust jacket in protective plastic sleeve, 12 b&w illustrations, 191pp, boards are slightly worn at the edges, head and tail of spine faded and bumped, light stain to bottom right hand corner, the dust jacket is only fair, grubby with loss to head of spine and corners, overall a clean, tight copy in a fair dust jacket.
