No publication date, but before 1924 as indicated by the address in the Eastwick Motor Company stamp on the front cover. They occupied this Baltimore address before moving to the southwest corner of the intersection of Remington Avenue and West 29th Street in 1924. This sales booklet advertises the Gray & Davis Starting-Lighting System for Ford Model T cars. "Any garage, mechanic shop, or owner with mechanical ability, can install the equipment in a few hours. Anyone can operate the system as there is nothing complicated. The system is furnished to the owner complete, ready for immediate installation." Title page followed by seven pages of sales literature with a few illustrations. Scarce piece of Ford automobilia. OCLC locates only three copies, all at the Benson Ford Research Center, dated 1915, 1917, and 1919. The 1915 printing is eight pages; the others are 12 and 14 pages respectively. That information helps date this booklet to 1915.
11 x 8.5, light tan stationery. Light fold creases, tiny bit of sunning, couple of small spots else good. Letter is addressed to the Cartier Auto Company of Ludington, Mich. "We are in receipt of your parts to be repaired and assembled and same will receive our prompt attention.: The Fred E. Holmes Company sold what they called "Automobile material.:" automobile lamps, machine screws, Ediswan connectors, cork carpet, automobile tools. Holmes was located two blocks north of E.Grand Blvd., not too far from Ford's Highland Park plant, also on Woodward.
