Light creeping to the upper page corner of the first 60 pages, possibly a production issue. Free from inscriptions and erasures. This copy is lacking the one page OUP insert at page 108. Illustrated with full-page black and white drawing cover design by John Blanche. A very hard to find early issue Granta magazine - containing the first part of Salman Rushdie's 'Midnight's Children'. The two relevant chapters "The Perforated Sheet" (pages 17 to 32) and "Mercurochrome" (pages 32 to 46) are the earliest and only publications of parts of his novel 'Midnight's Children' in any form. This copy has been Signed (without dedication) by Salman Rushdie, Alan Sillitoe and Chris Bigsby at their respective entries. Scarce to find with such attributes. More images available on request.
