Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Go Down Moses' by William Faulkner. Penguin Books No. 1434. This paperback is a first edition book in the Penguin Books format. Penguin UK 1960. First published in 1942, this book contains seven of William Faulkners stories which are interrelated. Set in 'Yoknapatawpha County' life is seen from a a variety of perspectives where, Faulkner examines the complex, changing relationships between blacks and whites. William Faulkner viewed this work as a complete book in itself. This is a solid copy. The covers are lightly dusty to the white areas but otherwise the orange bands are vibrant and edges and tips are good. Complete spine which bears a little age-tone and with minor rub to the top and bottom. The spine does however appear unbroken. Contents: pages are age-toned with name to front otherwise unmarked. Edges of text block age-toned with light scratches and a few age spots. Tiny turn-in to a few page tips. A handsome-looking book overall. Not exlib and packed and sent with care.
