Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. First Edition. Moderate foxing. ; Scarce. 16 pages + folding frontispiece map. Printed paper wrappers. Page dimensions: 214 x 138mm. Cover title. Appears to be an offprint from the Proceedings of the AAAS, the folding frontispiece map has "Plate XXXIV" printed in upper margin. At head of front cover: "Australasian Association for the Advancement of Science. Sydney Session, 1898." The folding map is copied from De Quartefages reproduction of Forster's Map. Map title is in French, it shows the islands of Tahiti, with the names of Tupaya. Text of article is in English. [Reference: Bagnall S1055].
