First edition. Softcover. Spring 1952. Cover: John L. Sullivan by Currier & Ives. Articles include: Leonardo da Vinci, Modern Photography by Joseph Breitenbach, The Universe WIthin, Gentry Fashions, Farming for Horse Owners, Baceholr's Country House, Ski Racing, The Minotaur Or Interlude in Oran by Robert Camus, Portfolio of Locomotives, Early America in A Modern Office, and much more. Contains numerous fabric samples, tipped-in pictures, and a variety of paper stocks. Still contains the packet of seeds in the farming article. One of the members of the editorial board was designer Alvin Lustig. A near fine copy in wrappers with some light wear to the spine. Internally a clean copy.
