Wrappers slightly bumped and scuffed at spine ends; versos toned. Binding sound. Textblock foxed at top; interior pages clean. Signed by author on half-title page. Very Good or better. First published in hardcover by Bobbs-Merrill Company in 1971. This collection of thirteen personal essays was a finalist for the 1973 National Book Award.
