First Edition
Wraps. Condition: Very Good. First edition. Either late 1918 or most likely, 1919. 4to. 31 by 23 cm. 68 pp. An elaborate magazine, probably the final issue, as it is a post-war reminiscence, put out by the 27th Division of the U.S. army. It is rife with cartoons and light-hearted pieces. This is not about shell-shock and trauma of warfare, but rather a commemoration of the solidarity and brotherhood forged in battle, and now that the mud, tedium, fear and danger of the trenches was in the past, the nostalgia for what was the most defining of events for most of the men who had served. With a good amount about theater and entertainment contained within as well. Scarce, with no copies found on OCLC. Other than one tear in the center of a page with ads, fine condition.
