Octavo hardcover (VG+) in d/w (VG); all our specials have minimal description to keep listing them viable. They are at least reading copies, complete and in reasonable condition, but usually secondhand; frequently they are superior examples. Ordering more than one book may reduce your overall postage costs.

*Sales/posting to the USA suspended*. Hard cover dust wrapper, 195pp. Dw is chipped and worn with some tears (some of which have been taped on reverse) and small pieces missing on edges. Some nibbling on edges. Foxing. Now protected. Spine slack, some foxing. Small pen mark on fly. Else good. Carter was an Australian civilian working for the Department of Information in Malaya at the time of the Fall of Singapore. He attempted to escape, but was betrayed and (with an honorary commission to disguise the propaganda potential of his civilian radio occupation) was imprisoned with the 8th Division prisoners. This tells of his experiences organising entertainment for the fellow prisoners in a variety of camps including Changi.
